Babies in the Fire

In 1985 three friends and brothers from Veroia formed a band. They are Stelios Papaioannou-Salvador on vocals and bass, Giorgos Papaioannou on drums and "Banny" Dimitris Vassiliadis on guitar. In the end it is George Papaioannou who gives the band the name "Baby's On Fire" after Brian Eno's 1973 song "Baby's On Fire".
They released their first album under the name Baby in Fire in 1987. This first full-length album of the band is considered one of the top albums of the Greek rock scene and was a reference point. The lyrics in many of their songs were described as hard-core, with social and political content. One of the most historic, important, precise and influential bands coming from the 80s with a continuous presence since 1985 until today, they remain faithful to the authentic rock sound, with their own identity that connects funk with punk, jazz with rock n' roll and all this with the special, social, Greek lyrics. To date, hundreds of concerts and participations in almost all the music festivals of the country have taken place, as well as collaborations with many artists in the country and abroad.

The celebration for Pavlos Sidiropoulos

2021 was the year that Pavlos Sidiropoulos' Apropos was disbanded. It was the group that accompanied him from August 1979 until December 1990 when he left us. The group continued to transmit his work by playing mainly at the Kyttaro. Because it was unthinkable for Kyriakos Darivas to let his work, his memory, his legacy in general be erased in any way, he chose to set up a group - performance that he called "The Feast for Pavlos Sidiropoulos, because that's what it really is!!!
So he chose people who have played with him, people who have played together in the same concerts with Pavlos, people who grew up listening and playing with Pavlos in their personal projects, people who came and saw Pavlos as young children. People who had and still have a relationship with Paul!
The name of the group is "The Feast for Paul" because that's exactly what happens in the lives!
